Everyone circle Saturday November 7th on your calender as the day a little mustang gelding in a plain brown wrapper could change your life. Mountain Valley Murphy is one super guy and he will be up for adoption at the Heber City, Utah MMO contest. I can't say enough about what a fun horse he has been to train. I usually never have a problem letting my young (equine) students graduate to new owners and new lives, but Murphy is definitely an exception. He is one easy guy to be around. He has a great work ethic and loves to have a job. He took to roping like no horse I have every trained. Within 2 days of seeing his first cow I was roping then and he would face them up and hold them. He loves to dig in and drag a log or calf. Will trot down the trail all day. He gets along with everyone and everything. PLEASE email if you are thinking about adopting him. I will gladly trailer him back to California or drop him any where between Sacramento, CA and Heber City, Utah after the contest.
Here are some 'glamor' shots of 'Murph the Snurf'. He stands a solid 14 hands tall and is almost as wide and long. I keep thinking I should have named him Sherman ( after the tank). He has 4 very solid black feet, massive bone, very correct legs, not one scar or blemish anywhere on his body. It doesn't matter if he is coming or going you either get lost in his big brown eyes or the size of his hindquarters

ReplyDeleteWalley told me you are one hot number. He said he would never kick you out of the straw and that you could steal his carrots any time! If I wasn't dark brown, you would see me blush at your request to share a pasture.
It sounds like fun, but Walley says you are pretty laid back, I like to kick up my heels a little and sometimes run fast. I love to herd cows and I even chase them until Sue can rope them, thats really fun. If I get plenty of time to run around I would love to take you up on your offer! Boy will that kick Walley right where it hurts!! Actually a kick hurts no matter where it lands. LOL
I gotta finish packing for Utah, so ears up and a big whinny to ya!

Can't wait to meet and see you. I will be leaving tomorrow to be with Dr. Errico for a month - see you when I get back. Take care of everyone for me.
Hay Shoshone: I am back in CA and all the awards, and lime light hasn't changed me a bit. Has it?? I won first place in the body conditioning score, so hopefully you will find me to be as hunky as you did Walley. (I always thought of you as I worked out). I look forward to meeting you when you return from surgery, Hopefully, my bedside manner will be equal to Dr. Errico's. At the least, I look forward to brining you breakfast in bed. :)

Going to get Mountain Valley Murphy today and stop by and say Hi to Ima Shoshone at Dr. Errico's. Dr. Errico just called and said how good Ima Shoshone looked...we laughed because my husband refers to her as a tad bit over weight and I refer to her as well loved. He agreed with me - she is definately well loved. He thinks that she is really special too!

Oh my, I have a new home and am not too sure about my new parents. They look like push overs but I over heard Sue giving them some tips on how to keep me in line. Darn Sue! I was looking forward to some down time - you know push the new folks around some.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, went by Dr. Errico's place on the way to my new home, and it appears Ima/Shoshone is about to under go some type of surgery - Something about her back end firing - not sure what that is all about, but I plan on staying clear from that end - if you know what I mean.
Anyway, we stopped by to say Hi and then it was off to my new home. Will keep you updated but gotta run cuz I am hungry. Besides that, I want Ima/Shoshone to show me the ropes when she gets home cuz she is pretty darn cute!

Oh my goodness - saw my Mother Sue yesterday. I got so excited that I forgot to use my inside voice. Anyway, she was excited to see me too! It was good to have her on my back again - she showed my new Dad tricks and how to take care of me.
ReplyDeleteYesterday,I rode in the Pro's with Sue and took 6th place - I also rode in the senior division with my new Dad and took 2nd place. It was a great day and I won some prizes. Yeah!
My new Dad and mom are going to be taking me to visit Sue on a regular basis to learn the ropes....I am so excited that Sue and I get to be together often. Ima Shoshone is also going to be together and riding as soon as she is up to it. I am so thrilled that we are one big happy family. Hey did I tell you - Pam showed up and now we are all going to have a camp out -I hope it is warmer when that happens cuz it was awfully cold last noc. Talk at you soon,
